A new event for classic cars and motorcycles of all marques and nationalities. Centrally located in Leicestershire, Stanford Hall offers easy access from the M1 and A1 motorways. This superb stately home is surrounded by acres of excellent parkland, ideal for extensive vehicle displays.

The event incorporates the long standing Auto Italia Concours which forms a centrepiece of exotic, classic and historic Italian cars from all eras.

I'm definately going to this. Our favourite venue - pity its not now the Auto Italia day but should still be a good day out. Mrs Nello loves the setting. I may be taking my X1/9 though pending the junior Nellos wanting to attend in which case will be in the family LE!

I'm in Romford the previous day so have booked Saturday night at a cheapo (£26.10) Ibis hotel in Crick. I hope I don't regret it.

The Ibis in Carlisle isn't too bad Pete (not great, but not bad), so you should be ok, if the standard is pretty much the same

I too will be staying in Crick, but at my in-laws. TBH, the Ibis is probably a better idea.

I have just realised that it will be British GP weekend at Silverstone.

That's going to be fun on the roads, particularly going south after the event.
