Can anyone recommend suitable parking in London on Sunday?

We are looking to go to the London Aquarium, London Eye, South Bank and then elsewhere around and about, so parking near Waterloo would be ideal.

I have heard you can park on Waterloo bridge on a Sunday, does anyone know if this is correct?

Any advice, greatfully received

Thanks y'all

Yes, you can park on the bridge (not sure if both sides, I think only on the South bound side), it gets pretty full though

Otherwise, the Cut works or other spots around the Old Vic

Just check the signs

What direction you are coming from? Notting Hill gate is closed so avoid that area.

Coming from South West London, so either up the A3 or via Kings Road, Fulham.

Based on the weather forecast of rain, we will definietly drive and find somewhere / anywhere to park smile

Old deer car park in richmond, then 10 mins on the train to Waterloo. It's 8 quid for parking for the day.

Did you see that in Cambridge, now, it's cheaper to get a parking ticket than pay for parking?

I saw that one - but it's only a quid, and you have to stop all day, and I suppose there's a risk of the car being towed...

It was all about avoiding the tube and train Si laugh

We found a car park, about 1 min walk from the London Eye, and it cost £16 for 8 hours - bargain if you ask me smile

I know what you mean, but actually Sunday morning was a breeze at 10am, very little traffic on the roads - much easier than lugging a baby, push chair, pregnant wife and all the other associated paraphernalia on the train!

laugh

There's an NCP car park in the grounds of the Southbank Centre. I normally just park on the double yellows just as you turn off Belvedere Road into the Southbank Centre. They never issue tickets there as it's part of the SBC grounds I suppose. And it's free of course at any time.

There's a great little parking space directly opposite Waterloo Station. Its only a single spot between the pedestrian crossing and bus-stop markings so is quite often free. Love that spot.
