Next Wednesday (26th June) at 19:30, weather permitting, I am running the British Airways Clubs 10 mile time trail. This is essentially a 10 mile blast down a quieter section of the A4 and back. It starts just outside Maidenhead on what is known as the H10/2 Maidenhead Thicket course.

This is a properly timed event and there is ample parking at the start. It is a low key club event so why not come and give it a go and get an idea of how your time against the clock. My best time on this course is 25m 13secs but that was way back in 1996,

Interested? If so PM me for more details.

It's a bit far for me! But I would love to do a time trial this summer. My aim would be: finish anywhere but last. Best of British, John smile

Coopless!

Looks near-float.
17/7 is another one to aim for on F11/10 Tring Bypass.
I'm on Levens today and Swansea next sunday.

Well Skinflint rode, and did a stormer for his first time trial and did the 10 mile course in 26mins 08secs, which is a tad under 23mph.

A great evening with 16 riders all under 27 minutes. The fastest rider did a 22:03 on a fixed wheel bike!

Thanks Pinin,

I can thoroughly recommend not doing a time trial if you don't want to start thinking about how you'd hide a TT bike from the wife, wear even dodgier clothes etc.

Thanks for having me along John - a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

69 feet of climbing - you'll need a few days to recover after that one. laugh I hope you do well.

Talking of Time Trials the TDF Stage 11 33km (or 20 miles in old money) Individual Time Trial is on now.
Froome starts at 15:54.

Tony Martin is top of the leader
board. Sylvain Chavanel is a super tester.
Froome is a better tester .. interesting!
Porte has just done a ride and will offer feedback.
Will DB tell Froome-Dog to leave his mark and challenge TM?

I wonder if Froome will get any hassle from the crowd, and whether it might put him off?

He seems to be in the hunt if Porte's time is anything to go on.
