been done - got through three engines IIRC - search for user "Kingpleb" and read all about it

I have a feeling that a higher quality installation and some quality mapping may have prevented the failures, so don't dismiss it

interesting read.

alot of money spent, that was in 2007 though, maybe 6 years on there should be more safe multi point systems around.

seen a few M3 and S4 fans saying it was a good idea and no problems after conversion.

I wouldn't be too concerned about getting the extra power. An LPG car is a faster car from A to B because you aren't worrying about fuel consumption.

My LPG Rover did 225000 miles before the valve seats needed doing. I don't know how much cost / hassle is involved in Flashlube, but I'd be inclined to live with the additional wear unless Flashlube was really cheap and easy.

I think the flash lube is £250 max, I think I would have it for extra safety.

Don't do it.
You use more LPG to fuel also the conversion MPG isn't much off petrol.
Fuel also cools whereas LPG is effectively a gas and dramatically increases both egt's and cylinder temperatures .
The initial investment will also take around 30k miles before you see any benefit.
If fuel prices are a concern then buy a diesel and use coupe at weekends.

i had an lpg vectra estate in 2007, that was rapid but i spent loads of time trying to find garages that sold it bk then, but i never had a problem with the system.

I know you get less mpg than petrol, but it's cheaper.
250 miles off a £25/30 tank?

Yes you prob have to fill up a little more often, as I'll put a doughnut tank in the spare wheel well.

£1800 approx fitted. And then filling up £25 a time instead of £60 a time. Looking like a no brainer for doing rep miles and wanting to keep a unique and powerful car.

Lol, that's been for sale for a while. If I could get 250-300bhp out if it then maybe. Horrid engine bay.
