Hi all......

Basically I booked what I thought was 4 nights through alpha rooms for accomodation in ibiza.... But when booking conformation came through it was only for 3 nights?!
So I contacted both alpha rooms and the hotel in question to ask for booking to be cancelled, but they are refusing to cancel and say we will be charged the full amount regardless..... The thing is debit card details are only taken to reserve room, full payment must be made in euros on arrival...
So if I cancell my card that I used for the booking is there anyway they can make me pay??
My issue isn't with the hotel, it's with alpha rooms as it is not clear how many nights your booking as it say "FROM" date, "TO" date..... Where as Laterooms asks for arrival dates then number of nights!
I assumed the "TO" date tobe the last night we needed accomodation for, Not check out!!??

I know they always assume your last date is the day on which you check out, so i understand how they've done that - can't the hotel accommodate you for one more night?

No buddy, apparently they are full....
Might just get there then ask them directly for the extra night, if they are full we will surely find another hotel nearby for 1 night!!

I've never used that company, but I'd be pretty confident that their terms will cover them for this.

If you cancel the card they won't physically be able to get the money, but that won't mean you won't still owe it to them.

I would book the last night elsewhere before you go - if it's high season, you could find yourself without a bed and having to club all night shocked

barnacle is correct above
