An odd post here and there, some irrelevant comments on high powered coupe threads, and lots of lurking.

Can only mean one thing, looking at getting back into coupe ownership.

So, what does £3k buy these days? For those who remember my old coupe, well, I'd like something similar again...but maybe LE or Plus variant orientated this time (though understand coupe Azevs are almost mythical now....?!)

Was sad knowing someone "fast and furious'ed" it. Especially when they sprayed the azevs white.

The guy who broke it told me the engine had gone twice, and that the guy he bought it from (Vin Diesel wannabe) didn't want to keep spending money. He also told me the story was that after it was blown up the first time, Vin diesel put in a new engine which only lasted 2k miles. Apparently the mechanic didn't swap over the higher pressure FPR (Probably didn't notice it) so i guess it'd have been running lean on the original flea map.

If there ever was a parable about not wasting money on stick on crap but understanding the mechanical bits and keeping maintenance up together, that was it.

End of rant...Glad to get it off my chest!

Might let mine go, not perfect by any means but is still pretty good - mapped at 351bhp and 323torq by flea, and recently 325bhp by jbt on a heartbreaker dyno - very fast car and everything has been done, just losing interest in coupes now.......

Just for balance, i'm not, in fact i'm loving it more than ever after an exhilarating drive up to Joe's place the other night, beautiful sunset with an awesome 5 pot soundtrack!

Don't get me wrong, the Coupe will always be a great car in my mind, but for me circumstances are changing the way I feel about the Coupe.

I also, like others have spent and loved their coupes, nearly ten year's of heavy loving on my part.

I'm really glad a former owner is thinking about buying another coupe.

The coupe is a great car, but sometimes you can't have everything you want....

It's not the Coupes you're losing interest in, it's the circumstances surrounding them

The forum, losing touch/disagreements with friends via the forum, less road trips, less atmosphere, etc, etc are all contributing to people like yourselves wanting to give up the Coupe

All I'm going to say is no matter what's happening on here or in your lives,etc, don't forget to appreciate the Coupe in it's own right for what it is and for the joy it brings you when you get in it.
Forget everything else and enjoy the car!

This is how I see mine and regardless to anything I feel about anything else, my Coupe will always be with me til death do us part and beyond and all that
