Finally! Got this car back on the road You may remember that I bought MrCooper's old coupé right at the tail end of 2011, and that the ol' lady wasn't informed. Well the coop lasted longer than our relationship (and she was ALWAYS better looking!). Anyways, back at home with mummy and daddy and with both a broken heart and a coupé that was weeping decidedly oily tears all over the garage, she was packed off to uncle Joe's for some choice pampering. As always with this model, you drop the car off for a couple of odd jobs and cross your fingers and inevitably you get a call asking if you're sat down first Her rear subframe bushes had turned to dust, The manifold was leaking, a bit of tin worm here and there, full cambelt and aux belts plus those little things that it would be common sense to change, exhaust etc etc. I told Joe to go ahead and set about batting my eyelashes at mother dearest as I knew there was going to have to be a considerable sum of money winging it's way to Bromyard! A couple of months later and it was a train journey to deepest darkest Herefordshire to pick her up. She behaved faultlessly on the way home and I've got the coupé bug again! Having been forced to drive a modern VW golf for the past few months the difference is marked. This car has soul, beauty and what I believe the Frenchies call 'je ne sais quoi' which is so lacking in modern motors. Thanks to Joe and indeed Viva la Coupé! Pictures! Auto Italia article which features my car And a few I took today of her in surprisingly sunny Prestatyn: I'm hoping to get to a few meets whilst summer is still here
Coopless!

Stunning Coupé, Pinin. I'm just a tiny bit envious. Sorry to read about your breakup though.

I thought breeding was prohibited in North Wales.... Pinin, sorry to hear about the break-up but stuff happens; it happened to me too, but I'm an alcoholic ugly SOB. Nice to hear you have a cracking Coupe (in a very decent colour/model ). Good luck mate, Tim

You've almost tempted me to ditch the wife and pay low rent...
Car looks belting in the pics mate, shame that you split but sometimes it's for the best!
I'm tempted to send mine off for a week or two for similar treatment, just need a put me on while work gets done!

I like the beach shots, may get some grief off the police about that plate though.

Really happy to see these pictures and to have sold up to someone who will give the car the love it deserves.
