Thanks all, I think I have bought the right type, vis, none turbo. A lot less to go wrong with all the big jobs done.
Its not my only car with the panda and the mr2, as well as the abarth but its been bought to use daily over the mr2.
Needs a rear bumper as its melted, leather as I dont like cloth and a set of 20vt wheels.

I was surprised to find this as a VIS as its got the none vis wheels and no color coding?

Are you sure that is a VIS? As you say it has none of the VIS features. Easiest way to tell is a plastic engine cover.... oh and the age I think they were only made between 1999 - 2000.

Looks like my old 1997 Portofino N/A which was a P reg.

Nice car mate.

Update - Owner put 12 months MOT on the car for me as he said he would and I collected it on Tuesday. Drove back with some niggles but for the money that changed hands Im not going to complain.

Stick a new MAF and reset the ECU/TPS and balanced the wheels and its a lovely drive now. I had forgot how smooth the 5pot n/a was after driving 4 pots for the last year. Im glad I went for the none turbo, id still like to try the 16v n/a at some point but there were no good ones about that were not full of rust.

in short, its great.
