F1ANG Unregistered F	I've ran 215/40/16's on 16vt wheels before with no issues, bit of a compromise between the two... Personally I prefer the aesthetics of wider tyres, but each to their own.

PeteP Hon Club Member 005, Membership Secretary Forum Fossil Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 22,171 Aldershot	The correct sizes for 16valve versions are the following , taken from the 16v & 16vt handbook. 16v 195/55R15 84V or 205/55R15 87V 16V Plus 205/55/R15 87V 16VT and 16VT Plus 205/50ZR16 normally although 205/50ZR15 were fitted in some markets to 16VT. 16VT and X1/9 1500 We must all do our part for the planet. I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using. I even unplugged my own.

I have those by accident (it's a long story) on the 16NA and they're definitely over-radiused; speedometer and odometer both read low as a result. 205/50R15 would be the right diameter.
