That's what I used to think until I witnessed it for myself and my ex partner lived in a house that was haunted.

A different discussion perhaps - and I'm not seeking to rubbish your own experience - but subjectively feeling what you interpret as paranormal activity is not necessarily the same as it objectively existing.

We let a 'murder house' once. Husband stabbed his wife, or vice versa, I can't recall.

I was always amazed at the amount of people who would be genuinely put off, even though it had been completely refurbished by the new owner and was well below market value.
