Can believe I considered buying a Z4, nothing could put a smile on my face like this coupe can!!!!

Had the 'drivers' car years ago before, and whoever calls the Golf GTI the ultimate drivers car, really needs a run in a coupe smile

Which golf? Late 80's 16v? Mk1? Or a Lardy 150. Early ones are drivers cars, come 93 and it went tits up!

Glad to see people returning and (as I did) dropping newer and supposedly superior machines for character and style - good choice that man!

Was a big bumper 1990 8v mate, cracking car but the coupe feels so much more of a drivers car smile Or maybe it's those big LE Recaros haha smile

Felt I sat 'on' the Golf, but sit back 'into' the coupe with that nice 'armchair' feeling smile

Glad you're enjoying the coupe Dec. There is currently an old 6ft dining table, 6 chairs, a BBQ and a toddlers trike sitting in the garage space where the car was parked.

I do miss it. The Peugeot and the Mazda diesels just don't have the same umph as the Coupe had frown

Nice choice of Golf - loved the big bumper version! My uncle had one from new as a company car (think it was 16v though) after his XR2 got nicked, twice!

You can't compare the two I guess - the coupe has so much more of a grin factor, the second look factor and the noise!

Yeah for sure, nothing beats that 5 pot warble smile

Was even getting approving looks from a bloke in a 360 today, well either that or smug haha
