I'm a regular at the Breakfast Club meets as it is only just down the road from me, been going for years now.

The marshalls on the entrance are very "selective" about what actually gets into the circuit so you may find you are not parked on display and get banished to the field of shame, certainly won't get a Brooklands. It does help if you register on the Goodwood Breakfast Club website but still not 100%, I've had the Coupe on the grid only once. You also really need to be at the circuit by 0730 at the very latest and avoid the A27 way in unless you are confident in your cooling system.

That said it is consistantly the best car event IMO and you will see some proper rare and exotic cars turn up.

If all else fails read the instructions

We are now a definite for this. Weather forecast is 'reasonable' to 'good'! Also less than 20 miles away. We have arranged to meet two different groups of (non-Coupe) friends too.

Will aim to get there a little after 7:00 am and go along the Lavant Straight to get there (coming from the east) to avoid A27 traffic.

PM me if you want my mobile number to keep in contact or we could just bump into each other when we're there. Either way looking forward to a good display of exotica and catch up with old friends (FCCUK and non-FFCUK!)

Probably won't be able to make this, currently having new subframe bushes and a few other bits done and I don't think it'll be back on the road in time.

Chris,
What time will you be going through Fontwell? If that's your route?

Another great Breakfast Club with some pretty nice cars turning up, highlight probably seeing the new Pagani which looked good.

Only saw 3 other Coupes inside the circuit all morning, did Pondman and Thunderbox make it?

Yep, we both 'kinda' did! Pondman broke down just before going in (suspected fuel pump failure) and we got banished to the Field of Fame!

Excellent selection of cars some of which were rare and/or pricey!
Good weather brought out the crowds. We'll try it again next year and try to pre-register!

Sort of confused
Got 100yds past entrance when connector of death struck and left me stranded on the roadside frown V. Embaresing! Not a single sole bar Thunderbox + Jean-the-brave came to help, two coupe drivers just drove straight by, shame on you! grr
I had a good run down, meeting up with Thunderbox at Fontwell. Some nice cars, but was on a bit of a downer waiting for the AA to assist. So I was not really there. The Huayra drove past whilst trying to sort out my issue! lots of interesting engine noises, but I couldn't hear if the fuel pump was priming or not, it was too noisy!

Sorry to hear that and it wasn't me that drove past judge, we were inside the circuit at 0650ish plus I'd never leave a Coupe owner stranded. I was speaking to a Moto Guzzi riding mate just before we left the circuit who said he saw a Coupe broken down outside, anyway hope it gets fixed soon.

Apart from that glad you both enjoyed it, we'll have to try and get a few more cars next year as they seem to have really sorted out the "selection" process for getting in.

Wal_S, that was not pointed at you mate wink
Just very frustrated that well over 100 people drove by, all petrol heads, and not one even bothered to say "you ok?"
In pulling over to the near side, I had to beach the car on the earth kerb, it was a buggger to push off and get it to a safe off the road position frown
Anyway, all sorted now, no scorched yellow connector, relay now working as should, just one of those things! At least it happened right by the entrance so I could go and have a look-see before assistance arrived. Just another day in "Ross World"! wink
