I'm slowly putting my plus back together and I kept on looking at my old rocker cover bolts which were dirty and almost black (tarnished). So I put them in white wine vinegar and they are now super clean but have gone even blacker! frown

Any suggestions on how to get them silver again? Mr C

I think I've got a few spare stainless ones Chris, I'll have a root around and let you know if I find them. I got them from eBay if you can't wait!

That's very kind mate but I want to use original ones as there are 3 different lengths and they have torx heads. I have tracked down brand new ones from Fiat but I haven't given up trying to make these ones silver again.

I'm going to try coca-cola next! smile

Just get the wire wool and autosol out, the black will probably be just a layer of oxidisation. Or get Iain to polish them up to mirror finish hehe
