You can't beat the confidence in our Italian coupes! haha I must say the GTV is ultra reliable and never lets me down on the trip to work (Rotherham), it even returns 36 to the gallon which is great! I'd love to keep it, but as with all my second cars so far, I only use the best one and the other sits in the garage.

Welcome Philbass Submariner, wise words Had a twinnie GTV myself. Your car looks stunning mate. If you can, keep both, just do it. Both cars bring something to the party. In my eyes, go for the 20VT Coupe. If you don't want to do that, go for a V6 GTV. I have both now and just can't part with either Cheers! Yes the 20VT is a must now, I'd rather have one than a V6 tbh. The kids are moaning now about the rear room so the coupe is a no brainer...faster, more room and much better fuel economy than a V6.

Nicer rear end, nicer driving positions and cheaper/easier suspension set up too Lol, I can't comment on the driving postion yet but agreed on the other points, although I quite like the back on my GTV, it looks nice and fat. On the coupe front, I have two options on the horizon. My local indie garage has a silver 20vt that he is about to sell, I have first dibs on it. Also a black one appeared on ebay last night which is located in Stafford. It sounds like the cat has been removed and damaged the turbo or the turbo just requires a rebuild. Either way if it's cheap enough I might have a punt on it. I can go and check it out as it's only a couple of miles away.

Hi and welcome. Your gtv looks great. The black coupe on e-bay looks a right dog though. You'd have to be brave to take it on. I'm also in Stafford, but rarely seen around in the coupe as it's not a daily drive now.

The black coupe is a dog, he only put the pics up yesterday and WOW, it needs work lol. I quite like the modena bumper and LE skirts but the back is a nono and the roof is rough. It looks thrashed unfortunately.
I've seen another ink black in Sheffield with a new turbo, stainless and brake pads, nice and original.

My bro has appeared and on the coop hunt Yeah my GTV is a great motor now it's all sorted. It's a shame the kids are too big for it now and I'm fed up with knees poking through the seat haha

Thanks Markiz I thought Ink Black was very much like my 632 black pearl but it looks more like very dark blue from what I can make out?

It is a very dark blue as you say Phil.
16VT and X1/9 1500
We must all do our part for the planet. I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.

Excellent, a good colour to work with. I prefer darker colours. There is a decent looking inky in Sheffield but it has no MOT so I might make a offer.

Hi Nigel, I've just had a look and she's a beauty! Too much for me though and not what I had in mind. I'm after a rolling resto that I can add value to. I'm in Rugeley too btw

Your GTV looks great! Keeping both of course, I have been keeping a PH1 alfa red twinny since 08 and bought another red 20VT two years later and have never thought of departing them although I took a MGF a year ago and drive more often now. They are all real headturners here!

Cheers Franciss, based on the form of recent work it looks like I'll have to sell to GTV to fund a coop. Shame but it really is too small for me now, unless the kids walk everywhere
