So - what is going to fill the gap between the side windows, caused by the a-pillar removal - actually, does it even have any side windows?

Cars are a *lot* more expensive second hand in Brazil. I suspect that's not unreasonable.

Funny how we don't see a hood-up view though.

I suspect the only way that chassis will be stiff enough for a slashtop would be to use a targa, even if you had a soft hood over all of it. At least then there's a chance of surviving the Brazilian roads without it folding in the middle, and a soft hood could fold much more tidily.

Well that's well ruined......

Think about it - with a "normal" Coupe, if you jack up one corner and open a door, there's a fair chance the door won't close again until you drop the car off the jacks (in fact on my car, due to the stiffened suspension, if I even park with one wheel on a kerb, the doors won't shut without a considerable clunk)

Without a roof, I reckon that car would fold in the middle if the doors were opened and a modestly-sized adult got in

It must have a pair of RSJ's running the length of the underside!

Would have been interested to see a shot with the hood up....
