It's nothing to do with me, but the number plate caught my attention. I suspect this is one of the very first official Fiat UK press cars used at the UK launch of the Coupe, need to check the archives to see whether it appeared in any magazines at the time...

So it looks like 701-708 were 16v, 709-720 were 16vt

Fiat used M*** CLM for lots of other new Fiats and Alfa's at time, some may have been on the press fleet, others perhaps company cars for Fiat Auto UK employees, but all of them will have had Fiat Auto UK as the first registered keeper.

They also had cars registered to Land and Air Ltd. I had an Uno directly from the Fiat company fleet registered to that name.

From buying one new, my recollection is that any M-reg coupe is a demo or press car. The deliveries didn't begin until N, as far as I know (nearly four months after I bought it grrrr).

This will probably have been registered around 25 May 1995, about the same time as my 16vt which was M709.
