Ive been looking for a coupe for a while now and have found two which I'm interested in. Does anyone know the history on P864AHO in yellow. Current keeper purchased from a dealer 6 weeks ago??? Currently for sale on Autotrader in Southampton. Supposedly its had a lot done LE body kit, wheels, cambelt twice, GTEC1 chip, suspension work. Im not sure what exactly. But a bit sceptical as he has only had for 6 weeks. Stated he purchased two cars at the same time and is keeping the Merc and selling this

The other is a VT6 VT6 Coupe which is seen here with the previous owner. Both are at the same price

Any info on the other car would be great!

Cheers for your comments

I have now picked up my new Coupe the silver 20VT6 as listed above.
Will be a long term project for me as Im not intending to sell and will be keeping the car as a third car and will be garaged for the majority of the time.

Several things I need to do. I'll place a page on the project section once I have taken some photos etc.

But first thing it needs is a blooody good clean!!!

I went to look at P864AHO the other day outside Sheffield. TBH, looks can be deceiving. It looks great, but under the bonnet it looks shoddy. Erratic idling on start up and an exhaust the sounds like an angry bluebottle in a jar - no burble as I remembered. Pulled well in the test drive - clutch heavy and biting higher than I would like. No smoke from rear, but loads of oil peeing out from engine. Engine bay saturated in the stuff. 3 constant drips onto the floor.
No tax, although the guy knocked £200 off for that. He texted me on my way home to knock a further £200 so I would take the car as it is. Too much of a risk...offeered him £1500 or fix it and give me a call. He's not called.
Hope that gives you an idea of what the car is like. Cheers
