Hi all:) as you can see from my user name Im a bit of a nissan fan, but I also come from a fiat background, my first car was a strada 85 back in 94! I've had various fiats fron uno turbos to regatta 105tcs. I then got into rwd jap cars and that was that. However my current tin is of fwd almera gti variety and is a great car.
I remember back in the day when the coupe came out drooling over one in the fiat dealer I used to frequent (we looked after ducato ambulances at the time while they were still in warranty) But I was put off fiats big time working on those ambulances. They were absolute garbage with terrible build quality. And at the time coupes were sky high money completely unattainable by a poorly paid apprentice. But there is just something I love about the coupe, its styling and interior just captured me. They just haven't aged and still look as good today as they did all those years ago.
Im only just starting to look into What's what with them now, and I'd be looking to get a project level 20vt to bring to bring back to its former glory. I was a techie for Mercedes trucks before moving to Nissan and then vw cars so there's no worry about paying out for labour and I have a decent sized workshop to keep it in. I'll be looking for something at the end of this year once my current almera project is finished.
Ive never even driven a coupe so I thought here would be the best place to start looking into them seriously. And this club and forum looks an ideal place to start.

Thanks for the warm Welcome.
The current spec of my almera is EngineJWT S3 262 degree camshafts. Ignition timing advanced to 17.5 degrees. K+N viper enclosed CAI / custom hard-pipe. SSAC 4-2-1 Stainless Manifold. Standard Cat, janspeed rear silencer .XTD Lightened Flywheel. ACT Uprated Clutch. Nismo FPR. Magnacore Leads.
Chassis Braded Brake Lines. Stock Gti brakes with red stuff pads up front PI 40mm Lowering Springs .White 15" replica Enkei alloys / yokahama parada / proxes combo
Bodywork Lucino Grille Team Heko Wind Deflectors .Chrome Almera sill trims De-globed indicators. Standard P2 bodykit.
Its coming off the road to be re shelled into a mint import pulsar vzr shell and also turbo'd with a gtir turbo / manifold / greddy emanage etc. Fully painted underneath with much powder coating etc. The new shell already has tein superstreet coilovers on it. Hoping to have it rebuilt by summer.
Im just deliberating whether that will be my daily driver or a coop? And then other dirty thoughts spring to mind like a rwd coop using the S14 drive train I have in the workshop a coop could look the part drifting?

Hi and welcome to the forum, membership is a mere £15 and gives access to loads of stuff worth having/knowing.....
Good luck with the search for a coupé, they are an epic car to drive and own and you will always look back at it when you get out and smile......
I've owned 3 of various stages of development and they're great, I am currently having a sabbatical but may well return to the fold one day, it's an itch that doesn't go away

Steve, when did you start using long words like "sabbatical" ? You should get that itch looked at by a coupe doctor, QUICK !! Oh and welcome to the madhouse Nissansteve...you can come in, but you can never leave !
