Who would have thought that such a simple item would have me in such a tizzy.

What should be an easy shopping trip that I thought might culminate in the hardest decision being should I take it in black or silver?

Had left me reeling and in shock!

Galvanised or not galvanised
Heavy duty up to 175 kg or medium duty up to 25 kg
Bolted or boltless
Blue, black or red
Wood shelves or metal
1.9 or 2.2 or 2.7 or 3 x 0.9 or or or

Then even when I think I am close there are a million sellers.

And then I wonder would wood be cheaper on a DIY basis..

Damn!

Can anyone assist, take this pressure off of me and say 'this is what I have,I bought it here and it works'

Thanks, as ever, y'all banghead

My tuppence: don't buy cheap.

Nothing quite as ironic as your new paint chip and polishing kit falling off shelf onto bonnet...

20 years usage, lots of weight no problems, why pay more? Tool free installation and easy to dismantle and store if needed.

Looks similar to the stuff I got from Costco which was very good too. Costco is worth a look if you're a member (or even their UK website)

Yes, it's pretty generic stuff no doubt comes in a container from the Far East and picked up by all the chains. Seen it in B&Q etc too.

As a self confessed tight git, give gumtree a look, you never know what's in your area. If you're lucky enough to find something suitable waving hard cash at less than the asking price can work wonders......Just a thought.

I'm an old git & happy with it,most of the time

I just bent/welded some angle iron, bolted it to the wall and screwed some scaffolding planks to it. laugh

And a cheap source of angle iron is an old bed frame which is even predrilled (to hold the wire mesh under the mattress).
