Ordered some touch up paint from a company in West Lothian and it looks like I'm not the only one to be stung. Lots of complaints about no deliveries etc...

They don't answer emails or the phone either.

I know its my fault for not checking company out and will hopefully get my money back through the credit card company, but just wanted to warn you lot about them.

UPDATE:

I finally picked up the courage to tell the wife that I'd lost a bit of money. So after beating me up a bit, she somehow found the propritor (Evelyn Harris) on Facebook.

On her Facebook page there's an advert for their Paintshop with a different telephone number on it.

Brilliant, I gave it a ring and got through to Stewart (partner of Miss Harris).

Long story short and quite a few swear words and the odd threat of going to 'Action Fraud', the package arrived this morning all present and correct.

To sum up:

1. Always check the company out.
2. You might as well tell the wife (even if you know its going hurt).
3. Try Facebook, you'll be suprised what you can find out.

Great stuff it worked out! But I think your title sums the experience up; you were nearly ripped off. No chance that it was your fault, the blame is solely with the company for taking orders that they can't fill.
