So I was watching top gear tonight, and really loved the Alfa 8C custom review...it got me thinking.

Every-time the Coupe has been featured on a car show it's NEVER been portrayed in the way us passionate owners know this car. Just look at the Top Gear Polizia wreck...awe-full, and Hammond's early men and motors review left a lot to be desired.

This car is special:

It evokes emotion.

It looks better than just about anything on the road.

So...how about we do something about that the silly reviews?

Here it goes, tell me I'm crazy if you like, tell me to go away but think about this:

We do a car review. A top gear exotic style car review. On the Coupe.

Something we can be proud of and put up on Youtube and admire for years to come. Something that encapsulates this amazing car. Something special.

I have found a Jeremy Clarkson lookalike here: LINKY CLARKSON

My plan is to use him to do a review, we get some film Uni students to shoot it (they love projects) and I'll edit it...I do it for a living anyway.

Of course we need funding so my idea is that everyone chips in who is interested in being part of this production.

Will also need a script, a shot by shot breakdown storyboard...

I just think it will be a whole lot of fun...maybe could tie it in to some gathering too.

So what do you guys think? I'm I crazy and should just stop now....or is anyone interested in this project. I've emailed Clarkson doppelganger to get his rates tonight. And on that Bombshell....Goodnight.

Naturally, you'll have to come over here to Wales to film the road test ! laugh

We're getting the new Pinewood Studios too.

What about using this years Turin trip for some more exotic footage?

How about something in the style of this video?

Whilst the review would undoubtedly be funny, mixed in with great artistic Coop shots, due to a fake Clarkson it might ultimately come across as corny? confused

I know the video above is a bit melodramatic in parts but you could tone it down and you would end up with something stylish and understated. A bit like the Coop I suppose. wink

The thing is the 8C custom had very Coupe-esq traits about it, the straight lined arches and insane styling coupled with a gorgeous engine note. Clarkson really needs to look more closely at our beloved Coupes as he'd see the same lines and character!

The thing is when the Coupe first came out 16vt Clarkson did really praise it in his first review of it on Top Gear

A classy video, evoking passion, aka JKD's link for the Honda should suffice. If they can do it for a Honda, surely we can top that with an italian brand!?!

Hopefully it goes viral, job done smile
