Right, the above statement is true, I have an engine I'm willing to give away for free

Now there is method behind my madness, the engine will need to be removed by whoever wants it, I don't want anyone to sell it etc, I'd like them to use it, I'd also like to keep the gearbox, oil cooler, manifold and turbo for myself

It would need to be removed on a Monday or a Friday, I can help, make the tea whatever, you'd have to come here, bring the correct tools

You can keep anything in the bay apart from what I've mentioned, I'd quite like a guy whoes done it before so it doesn't take too long

The engine itself ran ok, 1.7 bar pressure, it doesn't have a rocker cover at the mo, nor an intercooler but I can put the cooler back on, it's also missing a silicone hose the goes to the throttle body

If this is in the wrong place then please move/delete, not sure of I'm allowed to advertise like this but I do have selling permission

Forgot to say the injector light did come on and make it run lumpy but it was inconsistent

Steve came round today, stuck to his word, no mess, no agro, he knew what he was doing

He did turn up in his coupe though which was rather amusing.....but after taking the engine out, he then took it to pieces and loaded bits of it in the boot, the block went where his passenger seat would have been, lightly caressed by an old duvet cover and a sofa cushion lol

A decent chap, friendly, and helped me take of some extra bits, he does drink a lot of teat mind, but I think that's a northern thing

The coupe was still reasonably swift even with the extra weight in it. Glad it had no interior in it though. That helped with space.
And I was impressed with my ply lining making the floor all one level. Old sofa cushion came in handy.

Nearly 160k from the engine, I had a compression test done recently and if memory serves it was 140 across the pots, cambelt done in April last year, hasn't had an oil cooler since then (was bypassed due to a leak) oil pressure was good, just below 2 bar

As before will need to be removed by the interested party, I can help, feed you tea and biscuits, I'd like to keep the manifold, gearbox etc
