It's a shame, for me, that a quote from Blair appears within the BBC website's report of his death. Does our law condemn a man without first hearing him to find out what he has been doing? Like most people today, I couldn't agree with a lot of his political views (or at least their application in the real world!), but as Emjay says, his commitment and integrity were unparalleled. It's unusual for a politician to be viewed as a National Treasure, but I think he was just about there.
