I've just bought a very nice 20v Turbo which did not come with a spare wheel. The seller said the space saver was no good as the car is fitted with Brembo brakes and the spare would not fit. Is my only option to buy a standard spare alloy wheel? Any help would be much appreciated.

You put the space saver on the back and use that alloy on the front if you get a puncture there. I'm fairly sure a full size wheel won't fit in the well.

If you need one I suggest an ad in the wanted section; there are a number of specialist garages on the forum that may carry a spare spare.

I have a full size wheel in the spare wheel well. But you need to stip out the foam padding.

now that's interesting, I assumed a full-sized wheel wouldn't fit ! Think I'll get one. thumb

My space saver in my99 fits, the one in my brothers my00 plus doesn't fit. The one that does is one weird looking wheel.

I'm pretty sure I've had the spare on the front as well.

Spare wheel on my old LE 20vt. smile

Note the large area for the Brembo caliper to sit.
If you have one that doesn't fit, perhaps it's been swapped from a n/a or 16v/t?

Was this a standard 20vt wheel with 205/50/16 tyre? Did the carpet sit flat?

Standard 20vt wheel,no idea about the carpet as mine is stripped out.
