I'm thinking of spraying my bonnet foams with black plastidip to seal them and save them from perishing and crumbling to dust. Has anybody else tried this or have I just discovered a new cure for the saving of coupe parts hard to find.

Paul.

Don't think it'll work.

Yes plasti-dip is flexible but it's generally for use over hard surfaces. You'll likely puncture the finish the minute you touch it/clean it.

Injecting the bonnet foams with aerosol Waxoyl or similar seals them.

I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.
I even unplugged my own.

I was wondering if this would work. It might be worth a shot. It says on the can it can be used on rubber and rope (!)

New nearside foams are still available for £8 so I might try that one first.

Are they still available from Fiat?

Remember them wax jackets for the country side ? You can buy wax jacket spray treatment from outdoor shops, spray the foam sponges to keep the water out it's completely flexible.
