Just got one of these for the 5-doors: Pretty impressed to be honest, a nice drive and nice place to be.

What does it have under the bonnet, size-wise?

2 litre diesel 140bph and about 210ft/lb
So adequate and thus no need to re-map and shag the clutch

We ditched ours and went for a bravo. Admittedly it was the soul destroying 1.4 with no grunt at all. Not a bad car, watch for rust!!! Ours was a 53 and was showing all.over the place.

Thanks for the rust watch out. Although mine is the second generation they can rust along base of doors, so I checked this very carefully on purchase and mine is currently okay in that regard.
Feels like a lot of car for the money and feels quite grown up and refined. Well pleased.

I liked ours, the rear seats moving about was good for boot space. Nice and high and compact yet spacious inside. Oil and filter were a doddle to change, plugs not so much. Comfy enough and quiet on a long journey, stark contrast to the coupe which is also always nice when you have 2 cars.
Mine started to blister in strange places very randomly. Rear arches, door bottoms and bonnet with some signs on the roof. It was silver which always seems to be the worst inflicted colour for rot.
