Hot weather here in my neck of the woods 20 degrees plus. Lots to do on the Coop & the diesel hack but.....ach life's too short &all that, so I'm pottering about. Spiced Indian leg of lamb & refreshments for tonight are getting priority... What you lot up to?

Did a spin class this morning, went into Horsham to tax the Coupe and looked at the Minis on display. Came back and preped the car for The Piazza Italia meet on Monday. Put Son for bed, Wife and daughter went to the ballet with friends. Hectic, but productive

Another hot day in the making here. Unfortunately the wifes Aunty in Skye has taken a stroke so she & other female members of the family are off up there.

Thanks chaps. First visited Skye forty years ago with my then fiance of a week or so to stay with my now wife Aunt & Uncle. Fell in love with the place, it was a bit of a fairy tale for various reasons. The ferry back then which made it more of an adventure. Ah... where did the years go, so many memories, so many stories.
Apologies for having one of those moments.

Just like to share a positive note. We all know & go on about post code lottery, well here in Skye Aunty M house has stood vacant & members of the family have been across sorting stuff out only to find on the doorstep homemade scones & other goodies. This morning Sister Law & husband went over & found a dozen fresh eggs.
It's times like this & I'm sure Barnacle will back me up what a great community there is on Skye.

One of the great paradoxes Jim, it often takes events such as this to bring out the generosity of humans. Having said that being city dwellers we are constantly reminded that our trips further afield than our concrete and brick boundaries tend to result in very favourable and pleasant dealings with folk.

Argh - same thing happens nearly every year: first decent UK sunshine and it triggers a cold sore (the UV presumably). Want to do a big ride tomorrow but the virus leaves me short of breath if I exert myself. Bummer! Take an l-Lysine tablet each day and goodbye cold sores; I kid you not!
