At the start of next month my wife will be getting a new car. We've agreed a budget of £4k. She has the following criteria:
Must be 5 door Must be a relatively small car Boot big enough to fit a pram though (but no need for extra room) MUST have aircon (she was quite adamant on that one!!!) Cheap to run and maintain.
To give you an idea of what she is thinking of, her current car is a Citroen C3 which she has enjoyed. However she doesn't want another C3 as she likes the idea of a change.
So, what have you guys got as ideas?
Thanks

Another vote for a Mk8 Civic. Not too big, loads of room, nice to drive etc etc. Parts aren't cheap, but it's easy to do stuff yourself and they don't go wrong.

Thanks for all the suggestions (more are always welcome too). My wife will have a look this weekend.

Do what I did, got rid of a C3 for a Grande Punto diesel. Still have it 6 years on and no plans to change it yet.
16VT and X1/9 1500
We must all do our part for the planet. I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.

Fiat Sedici - totally ignored my everyone so you can get a mint one with around 20k for that. Eleganza's have Climate as standard. Japanese electrics and engine in the petrol (Suzuki) so they last forever and need nothing. Boot big enough and x2 Junior Nellos' for our old one for Mrs Nello for 5 years plus. She loved the higher up driving position the 4x4 offered with its clearance. The only issue we had in 5 years and 65k was a rear wheel bearing.
