Looks very nice but too much IMO. I would have thought that engine bay would have looked cleaner for a 50k car as well...

I bet that engine bay will clean up great Nello. I'd love to get my hands on that. Considering it's a 1998 car, it does not look too bad. They only look clean if the owner cleans it at least once a year!

You'd want some service description in the ad at 7k, nice straight looking car but it might be a year or two before we start seeing cossie money on coupes.

The things that i picked up on this are the heater dial surround has been polished up (removal of sticky plastic) and that the front cross member at the corners appears to of been painted so not Concourse!

Certainly looks a very nice car but i think its just that, a very well looked after car so definitely worth something more than the usual if there is no rust underneath!

Wasn't there a standard turbo sprinty on auto trader not long ago for about 8k?

Personally I think there's a difference between what they fetch and what they're worth. A quick search on Autotrader shows you get run of the mill Vauxhall, Ford and Peugeot hatchbacks for £7K or the odd BMW 3 series.

Stop doing down cars and people that look to get a good price for their coupes - I hope he gets it. My Ink Black turbo has done 52000 and has been modded to 300bhp and I'd look for £7k as well.

I hope he gets it too. The price of good ones needs to be increased.

One make forums (in general, not necessarily this one, although I have seen it before here too) often puzzle me when they say cars for sale are too expensive, yet as the owner of said car themselves you would think they'd want values to be on the rise?

I can't believe I let my sprintey go for £1k. It was mint with no rust. It was only after looking to buy another one I discovered most on the market were sheds.

That one doesn't look great to me. The gear knob looks like it's seen more than three times the indicated mileage for a start. Needs a new boot lid. Heater dial surround is broken. But good luck to the guy, setting a high price can only be a good thing. It's fools like me that lower the value letting the cars go too cheap.

The idea is to stop selling at close to or above the rubbish on ebay and advertise your car at what its worth to you, what you have spent on it plus purchase price. If every owner started doing that it would start forcing prices up. The car would then start to attract attention from the press and classic car enthusiasts. A good standard Turbo with history should be worth £3-4k minimum. If its very good low mileage then I cant see why £6k or more isn't reasonable.
Being in Practical Classics is all good advertising, would be even better if they did a full single spread on the coupe. Or there own restoration.

They did a buyers guide in Practical Classics a couple of years back. Having met the magazine guys on the 90's coupe group test and photo shoot last week up at Rockingham Raceway they definatly definatly regard the Coupe as a classic in the wings
