Took the valves out last night

Got four bent inlet and two bent exhaust

Will order new ones today and tonight it's out with the stem seals then I can start to rebuild

Don't forget that the clearances are set with shims; you may need new ones of suitable thickness.

Cracked Guides....... Maybe one but not sure yet
Only £3 each but a whole world of agro changing them

Yep know about the shims.... Will be checking them on assembly

The valve stem seals where right little buggers to get out

deffo two craked guides so today im bitting the bullet and recon head on its ways......

well last night i fanaly fired it up and took it up the road

its like a diferent car , the mid range torque is untrue

its only took me a month and around a grand .......but at least its done

cant sell it now Pondman .........just pumped to much money into it

when i backed it out of the garage last night i found this round block of metal about 5 inches across and an inch deep
covered in oil

first reaction was .....bollocks where the hell does that come from and more to the point its to big to be left out

then i realised one of the wheels had come off me trolley jack.......thank god
