Anyone tested these?

Circa £20 more, for a complete set, than EBC Yellow stuff at venommotorsport

I would think that these are suitable for track use only. The bite when cold with yellow stuff is bad enough so can't imagine what these would be like! Probably like having bars of soap as brake pads tongue

If primarily used as road car with the occasional track days, I would go with the yellows.

I agree that they are decent enough on road, but i've used these on track and they boiled very quickly

Got very mixed thoughts about these pads. Thought they used to perform well on my 16VT but I am disappointed with their performance on my 20VT with 6-pot D2 brake kit. First time round I burnished them as recommended for Pagids. Then last night I followed instructions by Essex Parts and AP Racing specialist doing some ten 110 to 5mph moderate brake application to get a nice brake film on the discs and I am still not impressed. Defo worse stopping power than OMP 971c with standard Brembo callipers and Mtec discs. No matter how hard I try on a dry road I cannot get the abs to kick in and I feel they rather slow me down than brake.

I am thinking of trying DS2500 pads as I got them with the D2 kit. Cannot be worse right?

Definitely I won't be buying EBC Blue Stuff again actually I won't buy any of their products. Also, each time I changed pads I did a fluid flush with ATE Super Blue thinking this might be the problem for fading brakes but now on the Millers 300+ and still a poo!

Well that sounds awful! No Blue stuff for me frown

Not from a Coupe, but from my trackday Bravo HGT. Beware of the Bluestuffs:

Three trackdays. Severe brake fade after about two fast laps all the time and eventually the friction material broke of from the backplate. This happened when braking from about 140 kph and resulted in:

furious

The pad broke from the right side and I could break the friction material of from the left side pad too with just my bare hands.

EBC couldn't explain this incident at all and says that I'd be better of with Yellows since the Blue ones are only for more serious racing and because they don't have a Blue rear pad. Also some comments about the brake bias stressing the front too much and causing fade because of the pad with a better bite. I have full pressure for the rear brakes and Yellowstuff pads. I do have to say that the pads have worked ok at the rear so far and seem to survive, since as the front brakes fade the ABS kicks in as the rears try to lock.

Luckily the car survived with just a bent boot lid and broken tail lights. I had a set of Ferodo 3000's with me at the track and there is quite a difference. Got into a small race at the end of the trackday and no brake fade at all even after over 10 fast laps. But even after a cool down lap the brakes cooked at the pits boiling the fluid (Motul RBF600) and burning the dust seals from the calipers laugh I do have cooling ducts at the front but still the car is very hard on the brakes.

The Ferodos are damn expensive but at least those are good. The EBC products might be good for driving to the grocery store and back, but don't even park near a track with those.

I had some green stuff a few years back on the front and rears

I went to back out of the garage one day and the whole friction area of the rear rights laid on the floor

It wasn't as if they were particularly worn down or anything ether

Yet again the EBC proves its quality. That used to be a Greenstuff. It wasn't worn down, the friction material parted from the back plate. This happened at a track day, but luckily at a cool down lap!

I've had several sets of 1155's - fine for road, and also great on track.

I'm running EBC yellows at the moment, and they seem to bite fine for road use, and work well enough on track, but do seem to wear quickly.

Maybe I had better take them out and make sure that they are firmly attached to the backing plates still! crazy
