I've always promised myself that I would go down to the big smoke and watch the fireworks for myself.

Does anyone have any recommendations about the best way to go about it
There'll be me the mrs and daughter.
Probably like to stay over tge night before.
Budget of maybe £700 & we'd be getting the train there and back.

The mrs has mentioned euro disney but I'd prefer London.

I'd highly recommend jumping on a party boat cruise.
I did it a couple of years ago with a friend and it was beyond amazing being directly underneath them between the Eye and Big Ben.I think we paid £150 each, but that included tickets, free booze all night, food on board (both a hot and cold buffet) and free VIP entry with 2 drinks to a nightclub on Embankment.
There were two levels to the boat. The upper being a dance floor and lower, a seating area. There was also a viewing 'deck' at the rear. The trip lasted from 8 through to 00:30.Cruised down the Thames to sightsee and turned around at the barrage to get back for the fireworks.
As for hotel, I can't help, as my friend was a squad and we stayed at the Union Jack for a sizeable discount.
On top of all that, the atmosphere was electric.

Hope that helps!
