Need some urgent advice, my coops fine but the mrs's 1998 silk 230 automatic has no power.Parked IP up at the supermarket, came back 2 hours later...nothing. No lights on dash, RAC called and he got it started with a piece of wire from the battery to the starter motor she thinks...he said it was the solenoid ? Now at the local garage wants to try another key to start the car ?
Just wondered if anyone on here has had no power and no dash lights on?
Any advice welcome before garage starts fleecing us

Always going to be a fuse / relay issue. I'd Google the advice given and chase it round. Don't know much about the slks but from other cars there could be a leak letting water into a fuse box and things will be shorting out hence live wiring the starter to fire up the car.

Good luck fella!

It wasn't intended to be sarcastic, surely two minutes of signing to a Merc forum and asking, is the obvious thing to do, as this is a Fiat forum?
