I need a little help.

I'm looking to put the car back to orignial LE spec and would pictures of the standard stereo for the LE.
I know it had a cd changer in the boot and a remote for the stereo.
Could you if possable show me a pic of the standard stereo, remote & postion of the boot mounted cd changer as I will be hunting for the orignial parts.
Many thanks
Rob

I've still got the original Clarion unit in mine although I think mine was an uprated unit going on past threads. I've always thought the system sounded excellant but I know the base OE unit came in for alot of criticism. I'll pop out later during my night-shift with the camera Rob.

I don't know much about what's original and what isn't but Nismo has one that sound like it fits the description in the "Parts for sale" section.

Here you go Rob - Head Unit is a Clarion AXZ613R. Sounds Good to me though prefer the noise of the 5-pot thumb :

I'm certain this is the OE unit as its detailed in my original owner paperwork I have somewhere. The Multichanger is in the upper boot just to the right of the Boot light.

Thanks for your replys.

I seem to remember the stereo that was in the car was black more like nismo's one for sale.
I stupidly throw the whole lot away years agovwhen I got the car !!!!
And it was all in good working order :-(

Yes, Nismo's stereo is what I had until very recently when I opted for a DAB upgrade. I be will keeping mine for future re installation when the time comes wink
The changer is still in my boot on the R/H/S, let me know if you'd like a pic of its position smile

The Factory head unit fitted with the CD changer is the god awful Clarion ARX7370. This came with a remote and the option for a 6 or 12 disk CD changer. This was the standard set up for cars specifying a CD changer from 1998. Earlier models may have had the still god awful ARX7170. There were variations on the calrion models based upon what was available at the time of import but the 7370 is by far the most prevalent model on later VTs and most LEs.

When buying the ARK7370 make sure that the joystick control works as this is a common fault and the small plastic part is no longer available.

The 12 disk changer was mounted in the boot upper area to the right of the boot light (when viewing from the back of the car). The 6 disk option was either fitted in the same place or on the boot floor. This was done by the UK importers so position varies by fitter and or day of week or time of day....

The joystick is on the head unit itself, it's just a 4 way control (5 way including press IIRC)

Its not really a stick as such, it is the control ball on the left hand side of the stereo and about the worst bit of ICE control ever devised!
Nismos has a column control unit, never seen one of those before, it must have been an optional extra for that stereo and probably worth having wink
