Nissan GTR ICs are black. It was once cool to strip them back for a front mount look.

The first video lucked into a favorable result due to the low heat input provided by the hair drier. The IC could radiate that level of heat effectively. If the heat input has been closer to that of a car at full power the difference would have been minimal IMO.

Black gives the best emissivity for radiant heat dissipation.
But as the cooling effect is convective due to air flow over the IC, the colour makes little practical difference. The paint thickness would probably have more effect.

I think you'd be better off insulating your pipe work before painting anything black - powercoat may get rid of some of the insulating effect of paint and given the inside is bare metal / oil covered the exterior cooler is for vanity.

Why not zebra paint it, white to reflect external heat and black to radiate internal crazy
