Hi would appreciate peoples opinions or ideas on this one as im thinking of relocating a boost gauge to the dash?

Im After a de cluttered cabin and was thinking of places for the Boost Gauge but dont want to lose my clock so...

Firstly how important is the oil temperature gauge?
Im assuming its not that important as the later cars have a battery gauge there instead

As the standard cars dont have a boost gauge im assuming that they are not important either! but my Coupe is modded so i guess i need to know if it is overboosting? and its always satisfying to see the boost going up!

Right the idea

I remember from years ago my mate had a reunault 9 turbo and that had a boost gauge built into the dashboard i have no idea if this was actual Boost pressure or Electric signal from a sensor?

I'm guessing the oil temp is an electric gauge if so it just needs a different bezel/dial?

Has anybody done this or attempted it?

Like i said after opinions etc. smile

Cheers for that Rush but I actually mean in place of the oil temperature gauge so it's integral with all the oem gauges if that makes sense
Cheers for the info though!

I'm currently looking to change my Auto Meter boost Carbon Fiber vacuum / boost guage as it measures PSI - I want a Bar one. I'm also looking to remove the nomad pod mount and go for a more OE look. I was going to mount it like Nigel has so to the bottom left of the clocks where I currently have my Blitz EBC. This in dash mount sounds like a good ideabut it is pretty tight behind the clocks...

I have a voltmeter and I figure if it isn't working correctly, my battery would be flat. I can see no other use for it?

What size are the standard voltmeter / oil clocks etc?

F****** b****** thing...

Hi Trappy its just about finding the correct sensor and if needed a small bit of circuitry to trim the output and a change to the bit that has the battery volts in scale form printed onto it to a bar or psi scale whichever you fancy im certain that bit has already been done in the colour change how to's somewhere and i am hoping to use the gauge thats already in use so apart from the additional sensor it should only be a change to the dials and slight wiring mod to the back!
This is all in theory and in my head at the minute, I have a spare dash to play around with just need to set aside some time and have a play!
Was just wondering if anybody has already attempted this so try and save some of the donkey work if you know what i mean! blabla

Cheers Rich
