All 4 of us and all this luggage and there was still room for more. Never ceases to amaze me(and others) how much you can get in a Fiat Coupe and still have a quick car to boot.

Yes Jim, I learned the dreaded boot hinge crusher thing pretty early on in my coop ownership by breaking a couple of things, but of course because the boot was stuffed this trip, the central locking sensor now thinks the boot is open and wont lock.(easy fix) Yes we flew to Italy Simon. The boys were at Scout camp near Crieff the week before and we had to pick them up with all their Rucksacks sleeping bags Bed rolls etc, etc, and head to the Airport without going home. As we already had both their and our own Italy holiday luggage packed, we realised we would have to get all their camp kit in as well. Of the 3 old Cars we have LE Coupe has the most space, so we took it and were pretty amazed that we got it all in without hassle. The boys weather beaten, unwashed and midgie bitten faces were a picture when we told them that we would not going home first - to all the creature comforts they had been deprived of all week at camp. We did drop-off the kids rucksacks at Sofia's parents in Glasgow on the way to Prestwick Airport as I dread to think how the Coop would have smelt had we left them in at Airport for a week. The joy on their faces when they got to choose and eat real food at a restaurant was a picture, as was their glee at lying down on a real bed at the Hotel. Other family members were amazed at how much stuff we got in the car when we picked up the rucksacks etc on the way back. We have also done this several times before but the kids were smaller, so this time I decided I would get a pic when we emptied it. @Barney. Michael would have happily given up his seat for luggage so he could to lie in the boot.

The Coupe is a great car for families I can't understand why people sell just because they're having a baby, etc They have loads of room in the boot (provided you don't have a sub and amp in there) and loads of room in the cabin. My main problem is the Coupe not having the third seatbelt/lapbelt, but as the 2+2 that it is, it's a brilliant car with not only style and functionality, but performance too

I can't understand why people sell just because they're having a baby, etc Could it be because they can't afford to maintain both?

the hole 2+2 seatbelt issue is easly fixed is it not? just add a middle third seatbelt/lapbelt from a diff model/car and install it on the original seatbelt bolts of the car.

Don't think it would be covered by insurance and probably not pass an mot if the tester is on the ball? Don't cars and seat belts need to be homologated and tested at design stage? There have been a few times being able to carry 5 would of been handy though!

On my early plus with recaros it could 4 adults comfortably. With the jizzbags on my current late plus, not so. Baby still sits comfortable in her seat at the rear though. As long as the adults in the back are vertically challenged. Headroom is an issue in the back, but fortunately for me, the two daughters that still live at home bear no resemblance to Peter Crouch. In fact, they've more in common with Ronnie Corbett, so the Coupe is perfect for our family, with the ever loving and devoted Mrs Pigman in the passenger seat and two daughters in the back. Loads of room in the boot for most things.

I also did the double-up rear belt thing in my Talbot Solara and Vauxhall Cavalier, but not sure how the law stands (or sits) the noo.
