Still, it would be nice for the owner to explain all this in person.

No. Didn't get a response from owner, so not worth the risk. I have been to see a really nice Wine Red one today. So might be in the FCCUK club soon!

Its now sat on my drive smile Couldnt resist another Plus, thats 3 now to the collection and 8 cars on the drive.
I must say the guy I bought it from was a genuine star, someone missed a bargain.

He's a motor mechanic and has done all the things I do my self. He wouldnt even take a deposite to secure the car as he wanted me to view, that its self told me alot about the guy.

I wanted the car stone cold when i got there and it was. Car drives mint and you wouldnt no its done the miles. Got 4 new tyres, all belts, pump, clutch, disc's and pads, heater matrix, oil cooler and pipes, brake compensator, bilstens, no smoke rattles, drives like a dream!

Cars cleaner than any of mine underneath, found only 1 fault being a noisey steering pump and he even turned around and put a replacement he already had in the boot for me. Absolute Bargain!

I dont no if he really knew what he had as he didnt advertise it as a plus. When I collected it today it was imaculate inside and out and twice the car I expected.

No but the advert reads well. Makes the car sound like a good one with a honest seller who isn't shouting about POWER etc!!

Seems like he has looked after it and everything which you want done, belts, service etc is done. Get him to stick a new MOT on it. At least you know if there are any advisories which need attending to.

It is a lovely Coop. Nicer than the pics suggest. And he's a top bloke. Trying to make my mind up over the colour. Ideally I would like a Sprint blue or Broom yellow....but the Wine red is growing on me alot

Lucky you Starvin2047 I don't think my misses will allow me to have another. Im trying to convince her to take the car down to Chard next week as the mother-in-law lives down there!

I originally wanted an Ink Black but couldn't find any in a condition and price that I could afford. So instead of colour I got the best condition car I could find. Wine Red do look nice. I don't think there are any colours which don't look good in the Coupe.

it looked like a good one on ebay. But the price was cheap, so you've got a bargain!

Check closely for rust in the floorpan, wheelarches, boot floor & sills

Ref the Moonie plus, looking through the pile of receipts it looks like its spent most of its service life with Motormech on reg T90 GAN owned then by Mr Brown. Must say it appears to be well serviced and cared for.

I would much rather have a genuine high milage car than a suspicious low mileage example. A well looked after low milage car that still looks like new would be a brilliant find. The trouble is so many low milage cars don't have a clear evidence trail and don't look like new! So yes, you should always buy on condition rather than the milage.

We recently went to buy a Grande Punto for my son. We looked at several quite low mileage examples (All under 60,000) at traders. Every single one of them was a mess and looked like they had done three times the milage suggested. One trader took exception when he heard me say to my son that the milage was incorrect. I directed him to my wifes 87,000 mile Grande Punto that we bought new. Apart from a few stone chips her car looks like new and is in far, far better condition than anything we looked at that day.

In the end we bough a slightly higher (Genuine) milage Fiesta that still looks immaculate.
