Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone on here has any experience with motor trade insurance companies or brokers?

I'm after a fairly simple policy to cover a private/business vehicle and one that allows "stock" to be insured at a premises and when driven there.

Now, I'm also aware of a lot of SCAM companies that just take your deposit and then cancel the insurance which is a real PITA as these are all recommended from comparison websites.

I have found 2 companies that seem genuine and have sent me the quote by Email and it all reads well. There is a £700 difference in the yearly price for the same policy though, which sets alarm bells ringing after dealing with these SCAM companies.

Any traders on here able to recommend a decent company to obtain a quote?

Any further companies to avoid? smile

I use http://www.unicominsurance.com/ for my trade policy. Covers my vehicles at several sites, including my home. Recognised as one of the best value in the trade.

Much more helpful than other companies I dealt with and much cheaper too, in fact, over £1000 a year cheaper!!

Thanks! thumb

Also very good when called upon too. Price can't be beaten, when you quote Unicom to other insurers I have had them give up at that point!
