Anyone else seen this? Sounds like a no brainer for anybody with a tuned Coupe, might even try one myself for £80.

Looks interesting and it certainly is competitively priced. I've just bought a Synapse Synchronic Diverter Valve for mine because I didn't like the design of the regular dump valve. By the time the import taxman had his way, it was £100 more than the above but it is tried and tested and supposedly performs a lot better than any rival. I'll see soon enough smile

F****** b****** thing...

Question, Do they really make that much of a noticeable difference?

I originally thought it was just important to not leak and dumping on closed throttle to minimise turbo stall at high turbine speeds, but from reading the article?

Did i understand it right?

Is it about on off throttle at low revs where traditional dump valve Would not open due to spring pressure? (but i thought thats why they were connected to a vacumn pipe so they would?)
Or is it just about the dump valve opening as quick as possible to not lose turbine spinning inertia at low revs? is it the speed it opens that makes a difference? and thats all nothing else?

Would it really make a difference to a 1000bhp monster as stated, as surely the turbo for that would be quite laggy at low revs regardless of what you do?

Gamechanger!! LOL, this is just using phase and antiphase (push pull) boost control principles that is normally used on an external wastegate since like the early 90s. Yes for Wastegates this is a big advantage but for dump valves i'm not convinced.

I would like to see data proving this actually does something useful and is not just another gimmick where in reality any difference is likely unmeasurable.

I personally wouldn't go rushing out buying this thing like its actually going to make a difference you will notice. It they want to move forward with technology then they need to develop an electronic version like most modern OEMs now incorporate.
