Hi purchased my coupe a month (or 2!) ago off a previous forum owner i think.

its a Vinci Grey, LE 209.

Although the turbo blew the other week ive had a new one on for 900+ miles now and it has been trouble free (touch wood!) it's been to rescue my mates in broken down VXR's and Focus RS's many a time.

plenty of plans but ill see how it goes!

cheers,

Hi and welcome, look after your coupé and don't do any silly modification as it will look after you.

Cheers for the welcomes! I will post some pics soon. It's currently at work as in in a works car (keeps the millage of the coupe down!) As for maintenance I work for a main dealer, not fiat, but it will have the same treatment as all my previous cars had. Over servicing and at least 1 full valet a week even if it's already clean! laugh hopefully keeping it in the best condition possible

The pics don't work mate. Copy the direct link from photobucket and paste it in the image popper icon (4th box). Should work then.

Hope your enjoying your le and the best interior laugh

Hi NEV.

Awesome job you did on the expansion tank.
It looks better than mine. laugh

Please tell us though....I shall be the first to mention it.
What is the bottle located by the PAS fluid reservoir for?
Jon

Oh that has now been removed looked messy! It was put there by the previous owner who did track days. All the overflow pipes went to it so it didn't drip anything on the track. He blew the first engine up then He never did a track day on this brand new engine all the invoices present cost him just over £5k to do! apparently the last in the country when fitted a few years ago? Only had 7000miles on it when I picked it up but he didn't replace the turbo, I did this.

I ran it for ages with it on and it stayed bone dry so nothing overflows! Suppose it was a just in case option smile

If you want to fit new bonnet struts, I got mine on eBay for £80, not genuine Fiat parts but they do the job just fine.

That was the answer I was hoping for NEV, hangover from the previous engine.

I did notice a new looking turbo. smile
Genuine struts about £110, worthy investment - my bonnet has fallen twice, once on my head and the other time all the way to closed. Two spot-welds damaged. frown
