so after having the skirts fitted, i am a little disappointed with a slight line detail / 'gap' between the front wings and skirt as well as back wings (quarters) and skirt. not just appearances but also concerned with sealing.
on a previous car i have (punto gt i think) the abarth skirts were bonded and then sealed with a black "silicone" type substance.

anyone done this with their cars, or have they left simply the fitment between metal and plastic?

After fitting mine I used silicone sealant then when it set painted the seal the same colour as the car gives it a smoother look and protects from rain.

graet - was that blown in as part of the finish / spraying of skirts, or brushed / detailled seperately?

I just finished it that way as the small gap just didn't look right.

great cheers - sorry to be a pedant, but can i ask;
did you fit the skirts, run the sealant in and then spray / paint the skirt and wings,
OR
did you paint the skirts, fit them, run sealant in, then lightly brush in the matching paint?

just to be clear!

My skirts were already sprint blue so fitted them and then ran the sealant and then I used a small brush to paint the sealant.
Might bring the car to collect the wheels Friday so i can show you what I mean.
