You will need a v band adapter or get a 5 stud down pipe made you can use your original water and oil lines .

as above or rebuild it your self, thats what im doing 2maro when my shaft and wheels get back from balancing ,but my turbo will have 360 trust bearing and staggered seal this time ,its really not that hard if your carefull it works out less than half price of getting a refurb

Is this my turbo we are talking about?

I can tell you the car I took it off had a front mount, straight induction pipe and a 5 stud down pipe

You'd also need a remap so it's not a bolt on and forget

Got told it could run 300bhp but there is a bit of work involved as you can see

Not sure I think its just a more readily available turbo ,I did think about that option myself but couldnt find one that didn't need rebuilding due to drifters

Lol yes , seeing your ad made me wonder what was involved and which turbos fitted , I know nothing about turbos yet but it sounds like a lot of hassle.

You don't need to run a front mount intercooler the standard one is good for 1.2 to 1.3 bar of boost .dont need a remap get a gtec1 or gtec2 chip and take your car to a RollIng road and have the fuel checked . But a flea map is much better if you got the time to travel . The only problem is it's a 5 stud but you can have one made up for 220 I done mine for 90 or you can pay 45 for the v band go on the fiat coupe page on Facebook a guy got one for sale ..

That's really poor advice.

With knowing more about how much heat the turbo is going to be pushing out (need to know more about the turbo, I.e. How efficient it is for the boost level that you want to run.) you just can't say 1.3 bar will be fine on the stock IC. It certainly is not using the standard turbo and stock IC.

Both the Gtec 1 and 2 are designed primarily with the stock turbo in mind. The additional advance of the Gtec 2 will mean cooling needs to be adequate to prevent detonation...been there done that.

If you are going for a different turbo to stock, then keep the boost down, and get the car mapped to suit, or update the cooling and get the car mapped properly for 1.3 bar or so.

The 200SX s14 turbos are an upgrade but it's a lottery as to the quality and you'll need the 5 stud to band adaptor.

There's more details in this thread
