http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=261625531019 Easy 270-290 bhp with minimal extra lag... Mods needed to get best out of this would be fmic Larger down pipe 3 bar for Live map (max boost 1.3-1.4 bar) Just check with these cossie turbos that you get a .48ar exhaust housing as for you bhp goal a larger .63ar will make the engine considerably less responsive! 368bhp @ 1.5 bar

as Gillian said you can biuld your own hybrid turbo using larger compressor wheel for sale in ebay working your turbo and refurbing with the one of the kits sold in the bay, then a larger free flow exhaust and a fmic with a decent map will complete the upgrade
bear in mind that the oem exhaust is cohibented thereby just opening and removing the inside will work like a bigger exhaust, you need only to cover with insulating fibreglass to avoid overheating the oil sump
you have only to buy an aftermarket bend (3inch) for the first part of downpipe where is placed the lambda

Is this turbo ok ? With decat ? Is it true it damages turbo seals I'm still running stock turbo at moment with decat pipe ? Decats and leaking oil seals only applies to 20VTs and their T28 turbos. T3s are fine. as Gillian said you can biuld your own hybrid turbo using larger compressor wheel for sale in ebay working your turbo and refurbing with the one of the kits... I've built a few custom hybrid turbos for myself and customers in the past and can tell you building a hybrid turbo isn't even close to being that easy! non-standard compressors don't just fit inside the stock housings. The housing has to be machined to fit. On rare occasions it's possible to buy a wheel and cover combo, but there are still other issues to consider; The rotating assembly has to be balanced. Also, the wastegate actuator usually has to be modified and relocated, involving more custom machining and welding. Not to put off anyone who wants to try building their own for the challenge, but just be aware it's not just bolt on and drive off!

yes of course it needs prof machining the compressor housing far less expensive than buy a new turbo garrett but you can consider Turbonetics one

I agree with this.My short story about 16VT's. My old original turbo was doing fine at 80,000 miles but, in the quest for more power i stripped it to build a hybrid with a larger compressor housing, change of bearings etc etc. I also built a spare hybrid using different ratios and swapped them in and out. The car ran ok but had alot of niggles, machine shop small costs (that added up) and in the end just took one of the units to turbotechnics and got one of their Custom Integrale hybrids, it worked out to be not that much more expensive than the units i had built and is far better quality. These guys do it for a living. http://www.turbotechnics.com/www/?page_id=65My units, whilst cobbled together from ebay bits, did last a few 1000 miles, a couple of trips to the nurburgring etc. But if I had to do it all again, i would go straight for an exchange unit, be it an off the shelf hybrid or something custom built
