Hello. I'm going to make a line of handmade exhaust 3 "for my 20VT, and also a downpipe. Above all, I do not want a lot of noise. What advice you can give me?

Use a large centre silencer to keep the noise down .

Use acousta fil in silencer/s.
And make silencers with inlet and outlet on opposite way, example inlet on left and outlet on right side of silencer (sorry don't know English word). with this you will have longer perforated pipe through silencer, in more "contact" with filling and gasses/noise will crush into filling material. You will keep max flow but have nice and silent exhaust.
something like this:

The second pic, just make perforated pipe diagonal through silencer housing.
Silencer on first pic is very complicated and not giving you enough flow, and if you go 3" you need flow smile

and use braided (from outside) flexible pipe. Much better quality then others

With 3" all the way from the turbo, with a single straight-through silencer at the rear, I recorded about 94Db

This was a bit too loud for the road, so I had a large centre silencer added, which dropped the noise to about 90Db

Has anyone considered contacting BCS Powervalve to see if they will make a system for the coupe?

http://www.powervalve.co.uk

They come highly rated in the VW world, nice and quiet off boost and a valve that opens to give a straight through system when on boost. Best of both worlds from one system.

Then, simply fit the inner tube diagonally into housing?

I put fiber exhaust or not?

What would be the least restrictive muffler, the second I put ,or the tube diagonal?

A example.

I was looking at the varex system from Australia. I think there is a distributor in Europe.
They're not cheap but could be what your looking for. And less bulkier / pipe work than powervalve system.

Finally I will not put the exhaust line 3 "makes more noise than I expected. But I've manufactured a downpipe 3" with suppressor catalyst. I left the two standard silencers.

The turbo is at 1,35 bar, and 1.2bar in red line.

what do you think it about this configuration?
