Hi everyone,
A month ago this car (20V Turbo LE no.0015) drove into my workplace car park, obviously as a previous Coupe (16V) owner (I'd owned it -N reg from new until it died catastrophically 2 1/2 years ago.) I went and accosted the driver.
From the moment he said "It's for sale if you want it" I knew I had no choice! And with only 51k on the clock, an immaculate interior and a great drive I bit the bullet.
I did find the grey (titanium) bits of the LE offended my eyes initially, especially the dashboard trim, but I'm getting used to them! And I've nearly broken the key a couple of times when forgetting about the push button start!
It's been a steep learning curve as I have very little mechanical knowledge and never owned a turbo car before, but she's been up on the ramps now and had a full inspection and I'm feeling a lot more confident.

The paint work on the roof, and top of the boot are in a sad state as she had been parked under a tree for several years with no protection, but the rest of the paint and bodywork is surprisingly good with only a couple of tiny scrapes & dinks.
I've attached some images:

Any advice would be most welcome.

Hiya Annie, real shame about the 16v, what was the catastrophic failure?

The LE looks nice smile

Great accosting skills and welcome to the forum!

The lacquer peel can be sorted with a partial respray on those areas. Enjoy your LE!

She looks like a beauty smile

Red is my favourite colour for the coop... I am a newbie too in Essex but I get down to Hertz quite often. 20v Turbo is just a dream car to cruise down the motorway.

Enjoy the car smile

Thanks for the very warm welcome and sound advice! LE 15 is going to get a full service and new cambelt etc. in the next couple of weeks!!! I think she will be known as Ellie, for obvious reasons.

Beautiful LE! A partial respray should not cost too much. Welcome back to the fold.

Hi Annie, thanks for the advice on the respray, my mechanic said the same thing, so hopefully that will be the solution. Nice to meet an other Annie here!
