Can anybody help please?
I've owned my coop for 3 months now and I thought things would ease off. But every time I drive it I have to hammer it.
Pulling out of junctions, off roundabouts onto dual carriageways, traffic lights, motorway slip roads...
Can anyone help? The fuel economy is crippling me, and yet... I just can't stop it. Is there any way out of this situation? Why are these cars just so damn good? And what a noise. I need help...

Fit a standard exhaust, filter and recirc. you'll be surprised how quiet they are.

3 months' ownership means you may not yet be away of the coupé's clever winter design that ensures you go cold turkey for a bit.
a) You open the boot lid, and watch the snow gracefully slide down and deposit itself. b) Having cleared out the snow, you then find you can't open your frozen driver side door. c) Having managed to open the frozen door, you then can't close it. d) Having managed to close it, you can't release the handbrake.

I'm the same, but I thoroughly enjoy driving slowly at times as my fuel consumption stays higher, and I can surprise whoever is behind me when we join the motorway and they can only hear me but not see me! I have suffered the frozen morning symptoms 3 times so far and it's not fun at all. Outside with the lukewarm kettle water on the door seams :@ I never fill up in the morning now due to said filler cap being an arse aswell! I have also given up on the handbrake, it gets a very slight catch and 1st gear now. I've owned my car 3 months too and it is so addictive, and worth the fuel bill IMHO. If not you could always part exchange it for something like a Ka or a cinquecento
