Erm, you're all partly right. It is an NA, but it has 20 valves. Everyone knows they are the best. Happy new year by the way !

Agreed....if yours is a yellow Plus. Yellow Plus is the ultimate Coupé, however, when sat in mine with my Roy Orbison shades on, one of my daughter's neighbours said "there's a mid life crisis happening back there," referring to me.

Quite right Simon, very nearly there. Correct answer is Electric Blue Plus. Fiat stopped manufacture soon after arriving at perfection. 16V N/A (preferably in Blitz Blue) is the most satisfying to drive hard down a twisty road.

Well reading through all the posts its clear. The best coupe is the Original 2.0 16v na. Its just the best colour? I think yellow still wins .

Well, lets just agree that 4 valves per cylinder is the best in a Coupe. As for colour, Portofino blue used to be my Fav, now I am not so sure. Tastes change over time. Moon grey... wine red.... the Coupe looks great whatever the colour. Apart from green.

Would be really nice to drive each variant one after the other for a real comparison. Was a long time ago but as I recall my 16V had better steering feel. IMO... The Plus wins on looks. It's hard not to appreciate 5 cylinder smoothness. The forceful shove of a turbo is pure delight. Best one is any that's well maintained and reliable.

Fiat stopped manufacture soon after arriving at perfection. Nearly 6 hours Ian, what kept you Driving the NA or Vis or turbo is just different. Particularly the gear ratio change which makes the non-turbo feel so nippy in town. Having said that I did miss the ultimate surge of the turbo when overtaking while temporarily at the helm of a Vis.

only ever driven 20VTs so not really qualified for 16/20 or na/T comparisons. would imagine different characteristics make different cars, so all about opinions...
generically - the 'best' coupe is one that is well maintained mechanically and cosmetically. a clean coupe, subtle enhancements to the original styling does it for me. 'wheels and windows', blackened tyres, shiney bodywork and undamaged bodywork all help to set a car off regardless of marque.
biased - but a clean, mint red LE gets my vote :-)

I love my 20vt in the lovely wine red, but I have always had a think for the dark metallic blue, and the metallic grey. I would take either of those colours over mine in a heartbeat, but I love the wine red too!!!

This looks good in red: and is great to drive too. The "best" coupe, for me, would be a steel grey turbo plus, which doesn't exist. A normal 20vt with the grille, seats and skirts is close enough.
