Someone suggested this road to Piston Heads this week as their dream drive. You can read about it here:- http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default....source=20150115
I'm on day five of a bad cold, fevers, aching joints, no energy etc but I couldn't face another day in the house. Brecon is 36 miles from Hereford, so I thought why not? I packed paracetamol and drink for me and £30 of Esso for the Vis, then headed out. No snow in Hereford, but the Black mountains were white, and so were the Brecon Beacons. And so was the roadside on the Brecon/Builth road. Spending too long looking at the scenery and putting the wheels into the snow would've been trouble. I didn't give the car the beans as I'm still monged out by my cold. Instead I followed the cambers, avoided the sheep (just), and drove the mountain section twice. The road was gritted, but in the shadows it wasn't enough and the road was covered in slush, so I would bank it round a bend, find I was on a loose surface, back off the power and clench me cheeks and ride it out. Fantastic. My Vis is revving to 6k happily now, and sounds sweet. I carried on through Builth, along another good high road through Hundred House, then back to Hereford via New Radnor and Kington. 106 miles - still a bit of fuel left, feeling like sh!t again but at least I have a smile on my face. Have got pictures but too much of a faff to load them up..... I lurve my Coupe.

Looks awesome - my return to Coupe ownership will be a n/a or a VIS, much more fun that a kick in a back turbo on those sort of roads!

This road next?

Blimey, I'd give it a go but not in the snow! Where in the world is it?
Certainly can recommend an n/a, although mine developed a knock on the way home. Not pot hole related, move of a side to side movement related. Anti-roll bar links? No. It was the dead batteries I'd put in the console. Doh. Pass the Night Nurse.

You will need a big dose of night nurse after you have washed all that salt off underneath, glad you enjoyed it though laugh

Yeah. She's white from the 20v badges down. Looks kinda mean when that dirty.... Whereabouts in Powys are you? I've only ever seen one coupe in Hfds and that's a 16v n/a, silver, Ledbury way.

It's a bridge on the Atlantic Road in Norway.

16VT and X1/9 1500

We must all do our part for the planet.
I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.

Are you one of the Coupe owners I met at King of Cool Classic Car restorations (check out their Facebook page and photo galleries, they like all cars, esp Integrales and old muscle cars - other resto companies are available) open day last August?

And at least two or three of us are planning on driving it this summer... want to join us?

I'd love a foreign excursion but in my current life position going into Wales from England is about as far as I can manage. please post pics of a Coupe on the bridge when you get back.
