The UK prices for the new Ford Mustang have been announced and it's already on the Ford configurator.

5.0 V8 430bhp model is only £32,995!!!!! (The 2.3ltr eco boost variant is £28,995)

Thats crazy money for something so powerful! Anybody tempted?

What do we think the depreciation will be like on these?

Pretty tempting money for a V8 laugh

Tis a lot of car for the money.
Looks a bit like the BMW M4 though. Not that that's a bad thing.

I think it looks quite tame in standard form. It looks far more aggressive and purposeful in 350R form. I wonder if this kit will be made available?

Always liked the idea of a Mustang. They have an honest coolness about them and rarity was also a plus point. In practice though, they were a bit plasticky and unrefined to want to actually pay for and live with one. This latest one promises to be much better all round and has been really well reviewed in the US already. As it is an official offering now in Europe, it will not be quite so rare anymore, I guess.

However, I have my heart set on an XKR and I can get a pretty good one for the price of a new Mustang. I doubt the depreciation will be that much different either. Spend 35K on any non-classic car, new or used, and after 5 years most (50-70%) of your initial outlay has evapourated. That is just how it is. An older machine is worth less than a newer example.

Rented a Mustang slashtop in the States a few years back... pressed the button to raise the electric window, and the window rose... and fell out.

I quite like the standard car. EcoBoost engine is a cracking bit of kit too. Could really be tempted.

That's nothing to worry about, all just part of the American vehicle weight loss plan. My Chevy lost its power steering pump halfway along the M5. Ran better than ever... for about 10 miles.

Looks quite good from the outside from every angle except the rear.. just looks a little bit boring from the back. But then again I always thought that about the last generation too, hated the rear lights on the old model. Oh, and the interior on the old one was atrociously cheap looking, hopefully this new one is a bit better.

Probably realistically about £35k with some options specced, but still, that's good value for a new 5.0 V8.

Also, does this mean it's coming as RHD this time round? I guess it must do, but it's not obvious from the website (after a full 20 seconds looking haha)
